The benefit of regular treatments
Cell turnover is the process by which our skin produces new skin cells which travel from the lowest layer of the epidermis to the top layer and then shed off the skin.
This is what keeps dead cells from building up on the skins surface. Our CRF (Cell Renewal Factor) changes as we age hence the need for regular, monthly treatments.
Active PREVENTION AGAINST AGING
Skin aging is a fact of life; everyone will face it sooner or later. In order to understand how this process works, it is important to know the basics of skin aging.
Intrinsic aging is the aging process that takes place over the years regardless of external influences.
After the age of 20, one percent less of collagen is produced in the dermis each year. A second type of aging is extrinsic aging. Unlike the previous cause of skin aging, it can be controlled because it is a result of environmental damage.
Extrinsic ageing appears as a thickening of the outer most layer of the skin (epidermis), formation of freckles and sunspots, and huge losses of collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans (moisturising factors in skin e.g. ceramides).
As a result of these processes, the skin becomes rough, uneven in tone, and wrinkled.
This does not sound promising but these days we have a lot of help and skin needling is one of the latest, most effective ways I have seen as skin therapist in over 20 years.
